Although closely supervised by a more senior solicitor you will have your own clients as a fee earner within a practise.  Although you may be involved in a broad range of law, you are likely to begin to specialise from an early stage.  Ultimately, a strong legal practise will comprise a selection of specialist lawyers.  In the long term, the depth of your speciality and your ability and reputation within it, will determine your ability to progress and you earnings potential.

Entry requirements for graduate legal jobs are a degree of any kind, although usually it will be from Law, Business Studies or accounting/finance.  You will need to be prepared to continue with education and take further exams as you develop within the legal profession.

Starting salaries for graduate legal jobs are typically £18-22K.  Career prospects with the legal profession are open ended.
