Graduate Sales Jobs

A fundamental component of any business is it's sales.  Without sales, there is no business!  In most cases, companies require people to sell their products and services into their chosen market place.  If you are considering any business career, graduate sales jobs are an excellent building block to understanding the way in which businesses operate to generate their revenue streams.  Whether you actually want to enter product management, HR, training or indeed some other career within a business environment, a period in sales will certainly broaden your understanding and make you more attractive to an employer.

Some larger organisations, such as traditional blue chip companies will offer graduate sales jobs as part of a development program where you will perform a number of different graduate jobs over an agreed time frame. For example covering sales, marketing, HR and training over a two year period.  This is kind of a business apprenticeship and can really give you an excellent grounding for you future career.

Many graduate sales jobs are relatively junior sales roles, for example, telesales or office based sales roles.  Don't let this put you off.  It's the structure of sales jobs which are important, working to targets, analysing potential, planning and organising your time and ultimately building up a sales track record which will allow you to sell yourself for bigger roles.
